Eric K. Chiu
Co-Founder

Before starting Older Wiser Lawyer Mentors, Eric worked for over ten years as a patent litigator at large law firms in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington D.C. As the first member of his family to become an attorney, Eric came to recognize the unique challenges faced by first generation lawyers, and appreciated how much he benefited from the advice and support of the many mentors who guided him throughout his career. In co-founding OWL Mentors, Eric hopes he can help connect the next generation of lawyers to their own trusted advisors.

Eric graduated cum laude from Duke University School of Law and served as a law clerk to the Honorable William Bryson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to his legal career, Eric received his B.S. in biomedical engineering from Duke University and his M.D. from the University of Arizona College of Medicine.

In his free time, Eric enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife and OWL Mentors co-founder, Michelle. In 2022, they completed their goal of visiting all 50 States.
